One Plus Water – A new fruit experience – Awarded in iTQi Awards 2018

The awards ceremony of The Superior Taste Awards 2018 took place on the 11th of June in Brussels. The Superior Taste Awards, also known as the “Michelin Guide of Food”, are organized by the International Institute of Taste and Quality – iTQi, a leading and independent organization of chefs and sommeliers dedicated to tasting, evaluating and promoting superior taste foods and beverages from around the world.
We are very proud to announce that our product One Plus Water (1+Water) has been awarded with a 1 Golden Star by iTQi. We have to say that is the only brand of fruit juice that has received this distinguished prize in Spain this year.
One Plus Water is a fruit concentrate manufactured and supplied by Lemonconcentrate, ready to dilute in water (5, 6 or 7 parts of water, depend on the flavour and the consumer’s taste) to give a delicious fruit juice drink with 15 flavours to choose, ideal for cocktails, mocktails, iced drinks or sorbets. Furthermore, One Plus Water is perfect to use without dilution directly on desserts, ice creams, frozen yogurts, salads and other food applications. It’s available in 1 liter or 330 ml. In the iTQi Awards, products are tested by a panel of judges that rate by appearance, smell, first impression, texture, taste and aftertaste. It is very important to highlight the relevance of this awards, which is supported by the independent blind tasting methodology; since it avoids possible influences of the brand on the independence and impartiality of jury, which judges the products individually, by their own merits and without comparing them among them. In addition, the fact that expert palates are those who value the products gives it great objectivity. In particular, it involves 120 chefs and sommeliers from the 15 most important culinary associations in the world.
To compose its jury, the iTQi works in partnership with the most prestigious culinary institutions in Europe such as Academy of Culinary Arts, Maîtres Cuisiniers de France, Académie Culinaire de France, Hellenic Chefs’ Association, Federación de Asociaciones de Cocineros de España, Verband der Köche Deutschlands, Federerazione dei Cuochi Italiana, Årets Kock of Sweden, Euro-Toques, Gilde Van Nederlandse Meesterkoks, Associação de Cozinheiros Profissionais de Portugal, Craft Guild of Chefs, Turkish Cooks Association, The World Master Chefs Society (WMCS), Nordic Chefs Association and the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI).
Among the winners of these awards are prestigious brands and products such as such as San Miguel Special Alhambra 1925, Estrella Damm, Alvalle Gazpacho, Jijona Turron, Carbonell Oil, Solan de Cabras Water or Pascual Milk.
