Vimto is a beverage originated in England. It is made with grape juice, raspberry juice and blackcurrant juice, flavoured with some herbs and spices.
This Vimto Concentrate is thereby ideal to produce sodas and any type of beverage of intense flavour. Moreover, it is healthy due to its fruit juice content, and contains no alcohol; thereby it is recommended for all ages.
Vimto was created in 1908 by John Noel Nichols of Blackburn, Lancashire, (1883–1966), who used to sell herbs, spices and medicines. He saw the market opening for soft drinks and started to sell his Vimto, which was originally sold under the name Vim Tonic, because Mr. Nichols claimed it revitalized you and gave you energy. Later, he shortened the name to Vimto in 1912. The product was originally registered as a health tonic or medicine, and was then re-registered in 1913 as a cordial.
