Properties and Benefits of Raspberry Pomace

When our raspberry juice concentrate is made, the peel, seeds and pulp are used in making another great product; the raspberry pomace. This pomace is full of fibre and contains abundant antioxidant properties. Raspberry fibre has been found to be a great source of both soluble and insoluble dietary fibre. It has many applications in animal and human foods, including:

Used in production of gluten-free foods
Used as a substitute for some modified food starches
Used to increase the number of natural ingredients in food

Its high levels of antioxidants have been found to be beneficial to diabetes type-2 patients. Raspberry is also good for cardiovascular health since it contains anthocyanins in its skin and flesh. The antioxidants also help in protecting the sperm from any oxidative damages.
